Sea Glass Festival & Lighthouse Tour
In partnership with the Lewes Historical Society and in celebration of the 9th annual Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival, Cape Water Tours is excited to offer our East End Lighthouse Tour.
During this 90 minute tour, narrated by a Lewes Historical Society guide, you'll learn about the rich maritime history of this impressive structure and the surrounding area and will be able to walk around and through the lighthouse to explore and photograph it up close.
This infamous beacon was placed permanently on the east end of the breakwater at Cape Henlopen in April, 1885. Since that time, the East End Lighthouse has stood up to everything Atlantic coastal storms could throw at it. Today, this lighthouse and the Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse are iconic Southern Delaware coastal treasures.
Passengers on The East End Lighthouse Tour will also experience panoramic views of the Lewes shoreline as they enjoy a comfortable, safe cruise on the calm and beautiful waters of our Delaware Bay.
Upon arrival at the Lighthouse, we proudly present custom artwork by our very own mate Dan Bartasavich, Captain Steve Cardano, and Pat B. Cousins.

Please allow plenty of extra time for parking on this special weekend!
There are narrow, winding steps and ladders to climb once inside the lighthouse. We recommend wearing supportive, comfortable shoes rather than flip-flops. The rustic East End Lighthouse, built in 1885, is not handicapped accessible, but our passengers with mobility issues are welcome to enjoy the historic narration and view the lighthouse from the comfort of our vessel.
